About Bijouria

Bijouria

Was born out of a lifelong love for jewellery — the kind that makes you smile before you even put it on. I’ve always been that friend who picks out everyone’s earrings, the one who can’t walk past a market stall without pausing to admire a bit of sparkle.

Over the years, my style has evolved — from bold silver statement pieces back home in India to softer golds and playful layers here in Berlin. Bijouria is that in-between space: a fusion of colour and calm, tradition and modern craft. It’s where bold Indian vibrance meets Berlin’s understated edge.

Each piece is handmade by me using polymer clay and braided cotton cords — bright, ultra-light, and hypoallergenic. They’re designed to bring a little lightness to your day (and maybe a bit of sunshine to grey Berlin skies).

  • A little European

Bijouria combines “bijou” — the French word for jewellery

  • A little Indian

with “bijuriya” (बिजुरिया), Hindi for firefly or lightning bug

  • Totally me

My own name, Deepti, means “guiding light”. So, in a way, this brand is a reflection of everything I am: colour, craft, and a quiet joy that glows from within.

About Me

I’m Deepti, the maker behind Bijouria.

I started designing jewellery during the pandemic with a block of polymer clay, a few basic tools, and a head full of ideas. What began as a hobby turned into something bigger — a way to bring together my Indian roots and my Berlin life through colour, craft, and a bit of glittery chaos.

When you wear Bijouria, I hope it feels like a small joy — a bright spark that reminds you to be confidently, unapologetically yourself.

Why can't we be friends?
